In this view, the tufa screen (see Structure ID 238510) is just beginning to engulf the lower part of the milepost. Compare this photograph taken in 1978 with the still from the cab-view video footage shot 34 years later. By 2012, the milepost had either been removed or completely engulfed by the tufa screen (most probably the latter).
