SCRCA Project Contributor: David J. O'Farrell

David is a retired Civil Engineer with professional experience of the design, construction and maintenance of highways and bridges. His specialism was investigatory work and materials testing. David has reviewed the online indexes for the key public repositories (local authority archives covering Cumbria, Lancashire, North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire) and thereby identified a wealth of potentially useful material that we hope to follow-up as and when circumstances and volunteer resources permit (see "Cataloguing, summarising and / or digitising primary source material held in key public repositories"). David also has an interest in the mining industry in Cumbria and he has researched and written a series of articles on the mineral industries of the Eden Valley specifically for the SCRCA web-portal.
