Important Notes

The inclusion of a structure or site in this gazetteer does NOT necessarily mean that the location can be visited in the 'real world'. In a number of cases, the SCRCA Project Team were granted privileged access to places that are not accessible / visible to the general public.

For structures and sites that have not yet been visited on the ground or assessed remotely (using cab-view footage or similar), the information provided may be inaccurate or missing completely.

There are a number of key structures / sites missing from this gazetteer and some of those that are included do not yet have a default image. However, the small team of SCRCA Project volunteers is working hard to obtain, process, review and upload the missing material as quickly posible.

 

Errors and omissions

Reasonable efforts are being made to ensure the accuracy of the information obtained and uploaded as part of the SCRCA Project. However, it is possible that a few errors will have crept-in. The Friends of the Settle-Carlisle Line and the members of the SCRCA Project Team do NOT guarantee the accuracy of the information contained in this database.
