The gradient post is laid on the banking on the left hand side (down) of the railway, almost directly opposite the white speed marker on the up side line. Also in the image on the down line side is gradient post ref 253520.
Further up the line is bridge 97 - the aqueduct ref 253550.
On the right line side (up) near the speed limit marker is milepost 253 1/2 - ref 253500.
