Railway building and equipment for the London Midland & Scottish Railway, c1941. Single storey tank house rectangular on plan, with brick west and east walls each with two arched headed openings set in recessed panels behind main wall planes. Walls linked at top with steel or concrete beams supporting tank above. End elevations open.

Metal water tank over in square diagonally braced panels, one panel high, eight panels long on west and east elevations, four panels wide on north and south. Metal access ladder to top of tank on south elevation.

1: The tank house was demolished after 1970 (date tbc).
