A signal box is not shown on Sheet 1 as its location just outside the boundary of the plan. However, the label "Settle Junction S.B." is visible at the extreme left-hand edge of Sheet 1. The location of the signal box is, however, shown on sheet 17 of the landplans covering Skipton to Wennington and these date from a similar period.
