Plate 25 shows Bridge 27 often referred to as Sherrif Brow Viaduct, but is officially known as Ribble Bridge in the Midland Railway Engineer's Department.  The 174ft bridge was constructed in 1872 on the skew, with three arches of 30ft span and is 55ft above water level.

Figure 8 is an official drawing of bridge No 27.
