Plate 35 is a view of Selside Signal Box looking north in 1973. The box was 10ft x 11ft 6in x 8ft of wood construction and was brought into use on 16 June 1907 at a renewal cost of £200. (W & W Committee Minute No 22118, 2/11/1906). The box was closed on 30 November 1975 and removed for preservation. Also visible in this image is the pre-fabricated concrete hut (possibly a toilet) (structure ref 244790) and the Selside Signal Box lamp hut (structure ref 244800).
Figure 14 is a diagram of the track layout at Selside based on information from a 1913 Midland Railway survey.
Figure 15 is a diagram of the signalling at Selside, based on information available in 1975.
