Figure 16 is a diagram of the track layout at Ribblehead, based on information from 1874 and 1913 Midland Railway surveys.

Plate 40 is an image of Ribblehead looking south from September 1964.  The Lamp Hut is south of the signal box (see structure ref 247150).

Plate 41 is an image of Ribblehead looking north in September 1964.  The Lamp Hut is on the left in front of the signal box (see structure ref 247150).  It is a MR-designed square corrugated-iron structure with a curved roof.  The cattle dock (see structure ref 247160) on the right is of the more common type.  The tall post near the end of the station building carries an anemometer for use in connection with the meteorological work carried out at this station.  Ribblehead station had become a meteorological report point in 1938.
