Snippet Detail

Plate 154 shows Crowdundle Viaduct in 1962.  Crowdundle Beck, which passes 55ft beneath the third opening, marks the boundary between the old administrative counties of Westmorland and Cumberland as well as the parishes of New Biggin and Culgaith.  The 86ft long, four arch viaduct was built entirely of stone.
