The green and beige tufa screen can be seen extending from the rock-face forming the right-hand side of the cutting. In this photograph, it is just beginning to engulf the lower part of the milepost (see Structure ID 238500). Compare this photograph taken in 1978 with the still from the cab-view video footage shot 34 years later. By 2012, the milepost had either been removed or completely engulfed by the tufa screen (most probably the latter).
