Description: Dent Station Signal Box, viewed from the north during its demolition. Timber from the structure is being burned in a bonfire beside the tracks. Part of the 'snow huts' building (Structure 253300) is visible to the right of the signal box.
Date: The exact date of this photograph is not known, but it was originally estimated as circa 1981 (hence the filename). However, information has subsequently been received that suggests the signal box was probably demolished during September 1984, with the timber being burnt on-site (as depicted in the photograph).
General notes: This image forms part of Bob Swallow's personal collection. Its clarity / quality has been adversely affected by the transfer from slide to digital image. However, it is still clear enough to provide interesting and valuable information.
