Image Notes

A context view of Culgaith Station (looking west-northwest) showing almost the full length of both platforms. 'Down' = left, 'Up' = right. The timber construction of the 'Down' platform is clearly evident, as is the deteriorating tarmac surface of the section of 'Up' platform closest to the camera. Close examination of the original image suggests that the section of 'Up' platform closest to the loco / tunnel is of timber construction.

In the distance, a class 47 is approaching the station with a southbound passenger train.
