Practical Considerations

If you are considering a 'real world' visit to Appleby Station and adjacent SCRCA locations, you might like to note the following:

In addition to a staffed ticket office, the main station building houses a gift shop run by Friends of the Settle-Carlisle Line (FoSCL) volunteers.
The station is about half a mile from Appleby town centre. This delightful riverside market town offers a wide variety of local amenities and a visit is highly recommended. The walking route between station and town is signposted and paved throughout.
