SCRCA structure 277210: Appleby Station - Tank House

SCRCA Location Introduction

The original tank house on this site was demolished circa 1968. This replacement structure (which is slightly smaller than the original) was installed with the adjacent water crane circa 1991 to supply water to steam locomotives hauling occassional special passenger services. Unlike the original, this tank is only able to supply water to locomotives on the 'Down' side.
