Figure 16 is a diagram of the track layout at Ribblehead, based on information from 1874 and 1913 Midland Railway surveys. Figure 17 is a signalling diagram for Ribblehead, based on information available for 1967. Plate 40 is an image of Ribblehead looking south from September 1964.  The lie-by siding (down) is barely visible in this image, hidden by the wagons on the down line.  The Ivatt Class 4MT No 43130 stands in the siding of H Austin, a facility provided iin 1945.

Plate 38 is an image taken in April 1977 and shows the terrace of 6 cottages in the background.  These are similar to the cottages at Selside - SCRCA structures 244300 and 244350.  Saltlake was the site of a shanty town built by the navvies constructing the line in this area; the name remained in use after the workers left.

Plate 36 and Plate 37 are images of the terrace of 4 cottages at Selside.  Unfortunately although the SCRCA Structure List includes Terrace of 4 - Railway Cottages South and a similar terrace of 4 Railway Cottages North, the images in Anderson and Fox are not assigned to either north or south structure.

Plate 35 is a view of Selside Signal Box looking north in 1973 in which the pre-fabricated concrete hut can be seen to the left of the signal box.  Although listed as a possible toilet in the SCRCA schedule of structures, the track layout in Anderson & Fox describes it as an oil store.  Also visible in this image is the Selside Signal Box lamp hut (structure ref 244800). Plate 35 is a view of Selside Signal Box looking north in 1973.  The box was 10ft x 11ft 6in x 8ft of wood construction and was brought into use on 16 June 1907 at a renewal cost of £200.
